Kristen O'Neill
What's up everyone? I'm Kristen, the Webmaster of Decibility - with creative input from the entire team of course! I'm a student at Central Magnet High School as well as Bridgeport Regional Aquaculture Science and Technology Education Center. I'm currently a senior and have attended both schools for all four years.
I love all things school - from art class to history! This year, I co-founded The Central Artisans art club, continued working with BuildOn, and I'm the assistant director (and animal handler!) of my school's production of Annie. I'm also part of scenic crew and the graphic designer for both Annie, and the play Anna in the Tropics. I'm looking forward to being able to work in the Fairfield Community Garden as the weather warms up as well.
What really inspired me about this project in particular was that no one seemed to know it was a real issue - that no one knew that proteins were denatured by sounds. After learning that, suddenly the damage to ears from music was not an eventual effect - it could actually happen in just four
minutes.
I have applied to many colleges and hope to pick one soon so I can study Environmental Studies and pursue my goal of becoming an environmental attorney.

Judyath Thomas
Hey guys! My name is Judy and I am the Communications Tycoon of Decibility! I am a student at Central Magnet High School and I also attend Bridgeport Regional Aquaculture Science and Technology Education Center. I am currently a senior and I have attended both schools for 4 years. My favorite class at Central is A.P Psychology. My favorite class at Aquaculture was the Med/Vet course that I took last year with Mrs. Ebmeyer. This class sparked my interest in medicine and I knew I wanted to incorporate these sciences in my career.
I love to volunteer- I have been volunteering at a nursing home in Trumbull for the past three years. I also worked in the pharmacy at St. Vincent's Medical Center. I now work in the discharge/transportation workplace at St. Vincent's. Currently, I have signed up for a project in the Healing Garden at the Cancer Center located in St. Vincent's. I am going to take part in planting and growing exotic flowers for the cancer patients.
I am an avid reader and writer. I have a quiet personality, unless I know you. Since freshman year, I've always wanted to be in this Biotechnology course because I love genetics/science and the idea that discovering something new can potentially save or impact the world in a positive way.

Riham Majeed
Hi, my name is Riham Majeed and I am the researcher of Decibility. I am currently a student at both Central Magnet High School and Bridgeport Regional Aquaculture Science and Technology Education Center. For as long as I could remember, I've always had great interest in the sciences. As a senior, I've taken the opportunity to take engaging science classes, for instance Medical/Vet Lab and Biotechnology.
In my junior year I took up UConn ECE Biology and Environmental Science which encouraged me to start to build on my family's garden by working in it weekly and researching plants' living conditions in my spare time. My hobbies also include reading and art & crafts. I enjoy to produce crafty goods with materials I find around my house and knitting mini projects.
I plan to take the knowledge I have accumulated in my high school career and expand it into my future, whether it be in medicine or the environment. My goal is simply, change.

and loved every minute of it. Biotechnology is one of the most exciting classes
of my high school career. I love the hands on work we do and that fact that our learning and its impact goes beyond that class room. We are sparking ideas that can solve some of the world’s biggest problems. Some of my favorite classes were Ecology, Biology, and UConn ECE Environmental Science. They have inspired me to pursue Environmental Studies further in college.
Besides school one of my interests is singing. I spent some time last year taking lessons. i love singing and I've been lately working on writing my own music. This year I’ve performed in two concerts with the Central High School Original Ensembles Group and we're preparing for our third. I also help out at my church as much as possible and often baby sit. I also love
to relax sometimes with music and movies, all work and no play.....well, you
know.
My ultimate goal in life is to somehow, someway, leave something good behind in
this world. I'm starting with this project! Mischief (I mean good) Managed!
